Mystic Theatre

Built in 1911 as a vaudeville house in downtown Petaluma, the Mystic Theatre has cycled through incarnations as the State Theater, Plaza Theater, and Palace Theater before a 1992 renovation transformed it into the North Bay's go-to live music room. The intimate 475-capacity standing-room venue books a wide range of touring and regional acts spanning rock, funk, blues, jam bands, reggae, and Americana. With its full bar, adjacent restaurant, and ornate historic bones, the Mystic delivers the energy of a big club in a setting where no audience member stands far from the stage. It regularly draws headliners who could fill larger Bay Area rooms but prefer the Mystic's atmosphere.
