Pete Be Center

Opened in 2025, the PETE.be Center is the largest privately owned music venue in the Bay Area, occupying a 10,000-square-foot space at 439 South First Street in San Jose's SoFA District. The two-story venue features a pair of mezzanines and holds up to 1,800 standing, bringing large-scale concert capacity to a downtown corridor long anchored by smaller clubs. The space previously housed Uproar Brewing Company, which closed in 2021. Proceeds from events fund youth programs and cultural celebrations through the Pete Be Foundation, giving the venue a community-development mission alongside its booking ambitions.
