Established in 1933 by Italian immigrant brothers Phillip and John Bargetto, this is the oldest continuously operating winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains, with roots on the banks of Soquel Creek dating to 1918. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Bargetto hosts a Thursday evening live music series in its creekside courtyard, featuring local bands playing blues, country, rock, and Americana with no cover charge. Wine by the glass and light snacks are available, and the winery's annual Art and Wine Festival draws over 30 local artists and food vendors. The combination of historic winery setting, Soquel Creek scenery, and casual outdoor music makes Bargetto a unique addition to the Santa Cruz County live music calendar.
