Fritzels European Jazz Pub has been serving up traditional jazz on Bourbon Street since 1969, making it one of the oldest jazz clubs in the French Quarter. The intimate, no-frills room features nightly performances of traditional New Orleans jazz and Dixieland from some of the citys finest musicians. With its European beer hall atmosphere, exposed brick walls, and lack of a cover charge, Fritzels offers an authentic alternative to the louder bars on the strip. The venue is known for hosting veteran players and preserving the classic jazz tradition in a city increasingly dominated by modern sounds.
