SAP Center

Opened on September 7, 1993, as the San Jose Arena, the SAP Center is a 19,190-seat indoor arena in downtown San Jose that serves as the home of the NHL's San Jose Sharks. The building has cycled through naming deals from Compaq Center to HP Pavilion before becoming SAP Center in 2013. Beyond hockey, the arena has hosted UFC fights, WWE's WrestleMania 31, and concert tours from the biggest acts in the world. With over 50 million visitors since opening and a central downtown location near the Diridon transit hub, it remains the South Bay's primary large-format concert venue.
